Cage for a male mouse

Post by anonymousey on Fri 28 Jul 2017, 7:14 am

Hi everyone! Ear wiggle

I think I want to get a male mouse but I am not sure what cage to get. I live in the UK and 10 and 20 gallon tanks aren't available (most are really expensive or tall rather than long). I could make a bin cage or buy a commercial cage but I'm not sure about the dimensions. Finally is there a recommended cage size on this forum like there is on some rodent forums?Confused Thank you. Any help/recommendations are highly appreciated. Two Thumbs

This thread has some suggestions for members in the UK.

The minimum size recommended for 1 male (OR 3 females) is a 10 gallon tank - 20x10 inches (about 50x25 cm). Once my mice are tamed I like to slowly move them up to a larger space and most have greatly appreciated it.

I hope this helps.
