One more for tonight. These were supposed to be for my mom, but I don't know if I can let them go!

I got paid today and had so much fun shopping! For boring, every paycheck stuff, nothing extra special. But my old dog wakes up from her naps all sore and limping, so I bought her a big cushy bed. It was like 1/4 of my paycheck! The dog stepped on it, stared at me, and went back to her thin as a sheet bed. And so the cat claimed it because she's such a princess. Snooze, you lose! Cat25

Her name is Missy. Sometimes when I scold her, I call her "missy" without regard to her name, and giggle that her previous owners must have scolded her all the time, so "missy" stuck and became Missy. Teehee

I adopted her when she was about 12 almost three years ago, so she's 15-16 years old. It took her a long time to warm up to us, but now she's really sweet and she talks/screams. In the morning she yells in a meow-y voice "Heeellllooooo!" She also says "Evan." It's weird.

She doesn't like other cats though. She once leaped over my poor boy kitty and slapped him on the head (while she was in the air!). Another time they were on my lap together and she started licking him, and we all awwed over it, until she suddenly realized who she was licking and conked him on the head. Sweet and sour!
Poor guy.

Amazingly, though, they both love the dog bed, and have cuddled in it together without any head injuries. Whoo!

That's funny about the name Missy Very Happy What's your boy cat's name. He is a cutie too!

One time I was over a friend's house that had a couple of cats. One was a very petite elderly cat named Gabby. She was scared of new people. I was sitting on the couch and my friend was sitting on the couch too. Well, Gabby jumped up in my lap and I was so happy that she had finally warmed up to me. Well come to find out, she thought she was on my friend's lap because when she looked up at me, she did a double take and looked terrified and jumped down. Rofling I will never forget that look of terror on her face. LOL LOL At a later date, she did finally warm up to me Very Happy

I bought the pets Christmas presents today, and found adorable "gingerbread" dog biscuits. I gave the dogs one to see if they would eat it, and they didn't. But the mice did! It was hilarious to see a group of mice chomping on a person-shaped biscuit. Rofl2

I somehow missed this post. How funny! I made some gingerbread dog treats last week and the dogs scarfed them up. I'm not sure if they're mouse safe though. Mine have ginger, cloves, and cinnamon in them. Here's the recipe I followed, if anyone's interested.

We decided to have Christmas just for us early, today. We will still be having Christmas with the whole family on Christmas day, though. Anyways, I hung a stocking for my dog, and wrapped some organic dog biscuits for her. She is not the kind of dog that will open presents, so I open them for her with her sitting next to me. She watched me open it, and as soon as the biscuit was visible and out of the package, she grabbed it and went straight to eating Laughing She was so cute, sitting with her ears perked up, watching me open it for her. Then after that, she thought every present we opened was for her, and she was like sticking her face in the packages, thinking "Oh, more treats for me in here?". She is so cute, I love her Love

Edit: Here's a picture of her with her antlers Smile

Awww. My parents' dog opened her own present last year. It was the cutest... I bought my dogs presents hoping they'd at least try to be that cute. No such luck.

I'm very down and disappointed today. And I accidentally took two of my allergy pills, so with everything else I'm kind of a silly lil mess. Hopefully I'll sleep well tonight.

That's such a cute story about your dog! She sure is cute with her antlers! My sister sent a package for my dog and I. They got a cute stuffed pig toy for Myda. I opened it for her but she wanted to see what else was in the box. Once she realized there was nothing else in there for her, then she picked up the pig and started swinging it around all excited! Peachy, I'm sorry you are feeling down today. Is it the holiday season? I know that gets me down sometimes. Yes, you probably will get some good sleep tonight from the allergy pills. Very Happy

She's so cute!  I don't think we've ever had a dog that would open presents. But just seeing them enjoy what you got them is fun too. My youngest picked out a chew toy and a cute little jacket for his dog. I really only planned on the gingerbread treats as the dogs' gifts this year but he wanted to do something extra special for Gandalf's first Christmas.

Here's my parents dog tonight. Great timing!

Yesterday I was so spacey and forgetful. Still not at 100, but I at least remember stuff. I don't even remember most of yesterday. I drove to the grocery store and set off to get something I needed, but then I spaced halfway down the aisle and still don't know what it was that I needed. Scratch

We got gifts and gave gifts tonight. More tomorrow. I got a TV! I can't wait to go home and watch it.
