3 mice in a 400 square inch cage?

Hi I’m new here and have a few questions!:)So I just got 2 new girls today. I can’t stop thinking about one of the mice I left behind in the store. So I’m wondering if 3 mice would be happy in a 400 square inch cage when they grow up? I want the best for them! Also since the girl that I might end up getting is from the same litter and they would only be separated for a couple of days would I need to go through the prosses if keeping her separate for a couple of weeks or could I just introduce them right away and if it goes good let her settle in with her sisters?

Hi,
This site has a cage calculator that tells you how many mice are ok in a cage:

So by 400 square inches, if you mean something like 40 x 10 inches, that would be plenty of space for 3 mice.

I would think that if you just bought the other two, you should be able to put all three together right away. They'll remember.

BTW, can you post a link to your cage? I've been cage shopping for weeks and all I can find are things that have bars with spacing too big.
