Re: Literally just ate the water bottle
Also, another question - how necessary is an extra water bottle? I've been considering simply keeping the bowl in as well if not purchasing another water bottle.
Any water bottle holder recommendations?

Re: Literally just ate the water bottle
I only have one water bottle in the tank. Last time I had 2 was when I was dealing with a bit of a bully mouse. I do have extras on hand in case it breaks.
I use a bottle guard like this: https://www.petsmart.com/small-pet/food-and-care/food-and-water-accessories/grreat-choice-chewguard-bottle-holder-14351.html?cgid=600006

Re: Literally just ate the water bottle
You can make a water bottle holder using a toilet roll tube (that's wide enough for the bottle). Cut a hole big enough for the spout about halfway down and the bottle should stay in it. I reinforce it lolly sticks round the tube as well so it's heavier and won't fall over. (I hope that made sense?)
