Re: Chinese Hamster
Here it is in the bin.

And the whole bin.

There's also the new wooden tube and a few cardboard tubes buried in the substrate that you can't really see. I finally picked up some sand for her a few weeks ago. Not sure how much she uses it, but I'm guessing she does get in there because she'll knock bedding into it.

That's a really nice setup, I bet your ham loves it.
You probably posted it somewhere and I'm just too lazy to look, but how big is that bin? Is it a christmas tree one?

Re: Chinese Hamster
It's the IRIS Christmas tree bin and it's 47 inches x 17 inches at the base. Thank you.

Re: Chinese Hamster

She's so cute but she still spends a large portion of her time tunneling under the bedding. Â So different from other hams I've had that would come out whenever they hear you and beg for treats. But I get little glimpses of her when she moves through the parts of her tunnels that are near the sides of the bin, and of course if I manage to catch her eating or drinking or running.

Re: Chinese Hamster
Awww, she looks so sweet. My Chinese hamster I used to have, Sweet Pea, would come out and beg for food. So maybe she still might.

Re: Chinese Hamster
My Frog begs for treats if he hears anything in his room.
We've got a vacation planned at the end of July, I'm trying so hard to talk myself out of taking him with me. I'll miss him so much!
Does she get handled often? Is she quick and squirmy?

Re: Chinese Hamster
Getting her out is super easy, she doesn't run and she's not squirmy when we hold her. It does still seem to stress her though. But just trying to watch her go about normal hamster things is almost impossible. I think it may just be her personality but maybe with more time she'll come around a little more. I already have seen a big difference in her since we first got her.
Scaredy, she's soo cute! Â I can't wait for all the pics once you get her.
