They were only together for a few days right? So I guess you would expect their due dates to be the same or a few days apart, I don't really know either. But if all 3 were pregnant and due at the same time, they could still be different sizes depending on the number of pups they are carrying

Sounds like Calli will be giving birth soon then. Hopefully the other two have just been eating too many cheerios lately Laughing

We also might be able help you tell if they are just normal chubby or super pregnant if you post pictures of them. Though sometimes it really is hard to tell, pregnant mice can carry different.

The most a mouse can hold a pregnancy is about 23 days. But usually a pregnancy lasts 20 days.

lol!

No babies yet.
From the very first day they were together to the very last day they were together their possible due dates are May 17 (which has already passed) to May 24 (if they got pregnant at the last minute and have a long pregnancy)..

I guessed that Calli would be first because she was the biggest and easiest to tell/first one to have a baby bump. And the visible bump lined up with her due dates being May 17-20. She usually comes and greets me when I come by her cage, now she is 100% nest mouse unless I annoy/entice her out with treats/fresh food, but now she is even ignoring treats/fresh food; when she would come out she has done stretching which I heard was a sign of soon having labor? At one point I saw short fast breathes, but that was I think 6 hours ago, and no babies. She has been sleeping a lot.

Mouse had gotten a lot bigger all of a sudden, not as big as Calli, but big. she is almost exclusively a nest mouse now too. When she did come out she kept stretching out her back and back legs. She has been sleeping a lot too.

Pip looks pretty normal!!!

Oh goodness, Mouse looks like she swallowed a ping-pong ball Shocked

I have heard that stretching and heavy/fast breathing are both signs of labor, so I would expect some babies soon, very soon. Keep us updated Smile

I just wanted to thank everybody for their excitement and support!

I've been doing check ins on them every 2-6 hours.

(2 hours later from my previous post)
Calli is still a sleepy nest mouse.
Mouse is thoroughly grooming herself. And watching her go in andan out, if she doesn't have her babies soon I think I'll have to cut the hole to her hidey house bigger!!

My second mouse mom actually looked uncomfortable for several days before the babies were born. By the fourth or fifth night, I was starting to think they'd never come! My first mom was quick, but her litter (and "baby bump") was also much smaller. It's so hard to wait!

I hope healthy babies will come soon. Smile

Mouse had her babies!!!

It was the middle of last night, I came home and was refilling her food bowl and she kept climbing up me so I gave in and held her (it makes me nervous to hold very pregnant). She was acting normal, but I noticed her "baby bump" looked lumpy uneven like she was missing a few babies... Then I noticed as she walked around that she was leaving blood on my hands.... IMMEDIATELY put her back and saw that she started having pups!! I got to watch the live birth and the first breaths that the pups took!!!!

Mouse had (I am pretty positive) 10 pups, all of which look uniform in size!
Some have little black eyes, and some have what I am going to assume will be pink/red eyes because I can't see black like the others.

Mouse is doing great. And she is taking great care of her babies!

I fogot to post when it happened, calli had her babies!

There is 12. All have dark eyes.
She wasn't doing a good job with them though...
Long story short I had to keep putting her with the babies that she hadn't taken care of yet and still had all their umbilical and birth stuff attached. I hand fed her some yogurt and then she seemed to perk up some.
To make things easier for her I made a baby container nest out of cutting off the bottom of a Gatorade bottle and putting all the babies in there.. After that she seemed like she was doing better.
