Hairless Mouse
Omgosh, I've been told there is a hairless mouse at a new pet shop near me that just opened up. I'm gonna die!
Tell me not to go look!! Please give me reasons why I don't want a naked mousey in my life.

Re: Hairless Mouse
To be honest, I've never seen the appeal of hairless animals

Ah, I don't know why you wouldn't want a naked mouse. What a fun addition it'd be!!

Re: Hairless Mouse
My husband agrees with you, MouseLover. I think they're cute, in an ugly sort of way. Hope that doesn't sound horrible - I don't mean it that way. The other appeal here for me is the majority of mice available here are PEW. Adorable for sure but it's nice to see other varieties. My husband drove halfway to Philly to get me Celyn and Rina. Seren and Hazel were a nice surprise. I do see RY more often too.
Of course I don't mean to imply that I get my mice for the sole purpose of their cute faces and varieties. But it certainly is one reason why I enjoy having them. I do have several empty tanks hanging around. It's tempting. Very tempting.

I bet they will be adorable. Hopefully this pet shop is reputable for healthy mice. If you do adopt a hairless mouse, please share pictures with us!

I haven't been to this new shop yet. Hopefully their mice are cared for well. My husband text me their hours so I'm guessing this is his way of offering to take me tonight. If there are hairless mice there, I'll grab pics even if I don't bring one home.

Awww!! It's definitely going to be hard to resist bringing one home, if they really have them!

Re: Hairless Mouse
To be fair that picture is pretty cute... it sort of reminds me of Dobby the house elf from Harry Potter
Post pictures if you get one CallaLily, I'm sure my mind could be changed fairly easily, considering I just love mice in general
And I know what you mean about liking variety in your mice... I don't care what colour my mice are, I just have a preference for them to look different enough that I can tell them apart easily. A naked mouse would stand out like a sore thumb

Dobby would be such a great name for a nakie mouse! Or Kreacher!

Re: Hairless Mouse
No hairless mice.
I knew there was only a slight chance given my source (9 year old nephew). They do have hairless rats...

Here's two of the mice that we're chilling right in the front:

Their set up looked ok for a pet store. Bare basics - aspen bedding, a hide, food bowl, water bottle, and a properly sized flying saucer. All of the ones I saw were broken black. The one right in front gave herself a thorough bath while I stood there, making sure she got between her toes really well.

Re: Hairless Mouse
Aw, those little mice look like a nice set. They remind me of little salt and pepper shakers for some reason, lol!
