Your Other Pets (pt. 2)
I think we had a thread like this before, but there's a few more members now and I feel we could use an update.
And I'm in the mood to hear about animals. As usual.
So: tell me about your other pets! Lengthy descriptions or pictures, whatever you like.

Re: Your Other Pets (pt. 2)
I have to gather new pictures of my crew, but I want to see everyone's pets too!
We're thiiiiiis close to adopting a little one year old Chihuahua. He's tolerant of cats and kids, and short haired... which probably means he probably wouldn't mind if I dress him up, right?
It's a bit of a drive so we're waiting for the shelter's okay, but I'm dying. So exciting!

Re: Your Other Pets (pt. 2)
I did post in the old thread but there's a few changes I'll post about here.
We are down to 2 dogs. Our Chihuahua, Jep, passed away towards the end of last year very suddenly and unexpectedly. We guessed that he was at least 7+ years old due to his dead-end microchip date - he was found on our porch in 2013 and we did all that we could to turn up an owner. We don't know cause of death. There weren't any outward signs that anything was even wrong, he was just gone.
Blaze was my mom's dog that she didn't want anymore (a bad habit of hers when it comes to dogs, unfortunately) and we tried all we could for over a year to make it work out for him here with us, but he and our other dogs just never got along. There was some very serious fighting and juggling dogs that can't be together isn't easy. It came down to what was best for Blaze, and that was to be in a home where he was the only dog. So with the help of the people my mom originally adopted him from, that's what we did. It was a hard decision but I know it was the right one.
So we still have Kai, my 13yo (in August) male miniature pinscher, and Freya, my oldest son's almost 5yo mutt (supposedly rottie/lab but I don't see it).
I think, other than the addition of Hamtaro the Chinese hamster and my 3 newest mice, those are the only changes.

Re: Your Other Pets (pt. 2)
You have such cute pets!
I've only just realized I have never actually done this. I don't have any photos on this device so I'm gonna offer some descriptions for those interested in reading.
Rabbits first! I have four rabbits, three of which are rescues.
Sergeant Abraham Ford, otherwise nicknamed Abe and Weasley is our biggest boy. I had a thread on him when he first came to us, but its been a while. He was abandoned in a parking lot in a far too small cage and later adopted by a loving family that just couldn't bring him along for the move. We're his third family that we know of, but there could be more! He looks older, with some gray hairs, but he's a fawn colored mix. He may be a New Zealand crossed with a Flemish Giant, but we aren't certain. He's such a cuddle bug! I can't get over how sweet he is. He's actually started rubbing his chin on my hands, which is generally rabbits claiming things as theirs. I'm flattered, honestly. The ultimate sign of affection. He's adapting to being a free-roam rabbit in a secure room, but he does have a large hutch.
Kale is our second largest. He's an albino mini-rex with a scroll of health issues. He was also a rescue, from a neglectful home. He had arthritis and bumblefoot when we got him, but he's gotten much, much better! He doesn't groom himself well even though he's medicated, but we brush him regularly so he's doing alright. He's not that fond of human contact, but some scratches now and then are appreciated. He loves toys and is generally a little comedian! He's also thought to be on the older side.
Wolfgang is our third rescue. Honestly, I don't know much about him. He's a Netherland dwarf and has the pattern like that of a wolf. Nobody really seems to know where exactly he came from, but I imagine it wasn't a good place. He's not terrified of humans anymore, but he won't let anyone touch him -- makes his vet visits a problem. However he can be affectionate in his own way! He can touch you, and sit on your lap, so long as he dictates every move. He's bonded to one of our other rabbits, Bandit, so he's not lacking any affection.
Bandit is a broken blue Netherland dwarf. She's a delight! She doesn't really crave human attention most of the time, but she loves being pet and snuggling. She's the most toy-crazed of all of them, always throwing something around. She came from a breeder, and she's approximately two years old.
Then there's the dogs. All are chihuahuas! We have three. Domino is six, and Pixel is two - both came from good, loving homes. Gino came from a home where he (and I quote) "never got to leave the couch", and that's not intended as a joke. He was confined to a small couch his entire life. He's five, and though more nervous than the girls, has come a long way! He loves exercise and the outdoors now.
We have two budgies, both elderly girls. They're my moms and I don't know them too well, but they love her -- and no one else!
Then, of course, there's the mice. We're also expecting a cockatiel (another adoption!) soon, but they're not home yet.
I think that's all. ☺

Re: Your Other Pets (pt. 2)
You know the mice, they are in my signature. My dad has a lot of reptiles - he has more reptiles than I have mice.
Here is a blue tongue skink he has:

I also have a male syrian hamster named Blue:

We have a female dog named Rosie - She was a stray in our neighborhood that nobody claimed.

And another female dog named Lily - She's a big German Shepard mix from the shelter.

And, I guess I am sorta fostering a bunny until he gets a home lol. We found him near the street and took him home, I was hoping to find his owner but had no luck. Now I am trying to find him a home. I have been for at least a month already, but I can't find anyone who will take him and care for him properly.
I think it is hard to adopt out white bunnies with red eyes, because basically no one is interested.
