Diy dye? Empty Diy dye?

Post by antant26 Sun 28 May 2017, 10:30 pm

I am finally getting Weasel her friends next weekend, after some ups and downs and squirming around.

Weasel is a PEW girl, and all the mice at the rescue are PEW as well. Me being my paranoid self, I went through the hypothetical situation that I would lose track of her at the rescue. I have an idea to solve this problem, but I'm guessing it's not worth the trouble. What if I made some dye from strawberry and used a pipet to drop some concentrated strawberry juice onto her to dye a tiny spot on her fur to have a marker? This is hypothetical, and I am joking somewhat and know it's not worth the trouble. Razz But could it *technically* work? Thanks, and all the best!

It will likely just get groomed off by her or her cagemates. I believe you can put a small dot from a non toxic Sharpie marker on the tail and it should be fine. You can get different colors too, and put a different colored dot on each mouse's tail so you can tell them apart Smile

Maybe I'll try that. Thanks for your reply!

Yes, I've seen it said that sharpie is safe or you could use food coloring. Either will be groomed off or wear off eventually, you'll just have to reapply it before it fades all the way until you're confident you can tell them apart.
