Newbie.
Hello There. I have a few mice. I was wondering if anyone knows why my Boy always toilets on his wheel. Is this something all mice do or just boys or just my Boy. My girls don't have a wheel yet as they seem active enough without one. Any info always appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome!
It's just something that mice do, particularly younger mice it seems. I really think it's just that younger mice tend to spend more time on the wheel than older mice. Mice in general just poo wherever they are. When they gotta go they just go.
They do seem to have a bit more control over their pee, though boys do tend to mark things.
When I have a group of young mice I'm usually washing the wheel daily. As my mice get older it tends to go longer before it needs washing. It's just part of having mice.
Your girls would greatly appreciate a wheel no matter how large their enclosure or how many other toys they have. I recommend getting them one as soon as you can.

Thanks I have been cleaning his wheel daily. I will give it another week befor i put a wheel in the home ,I have not had my mice very long. I separated them after buying them as there was a boy amongst them. One of the females is possibly pregnant so thought I'd wait and see first . I've had them almost three weeks.

I didn't realize there was a boy until one was looking fat. A couple of weeks ago. Sometimes she looks pregnant and other times she just looks normal. Just been down to check on her and when I hold her she's fat when she's running around she look normal. She's in with her two siblings. I tried to separate them but she won't settle . The sleeping area is a square flower pot. Big enough for all I'm hoping. Bottom is coverd with card with hole cutout. She has lots of toilet tissue and has shredded it. I plan to leave her alone for a few days now and just keep an eye on the situation . I have another place ready if I get any problems. For the other two.
