Hello!
Hi, my name is Kaytlynn and I'm new to the forum. I was apart of another forum when I first got my mouse, Hippo, but that forum has since closed and I stumbled across this one just recently. I'm really looking forward to being apart of this forum.
As for my mice, this is Hippo. Hippo is a black pied longhair and is my oldest mouse at over 3 years old. Definitely my friendliest, most cuddly mouse that I've ever had and has been since day one. A once in a lifetime mouse for sure. I got Hippo back in August 2014 and is definitely showing the age now.

This one is Bessy, my black tan. She is my second oldest at probably 3 months or so old? I'm not exactly sure how old she is. She's alone at the moment due to pregnancy but I will be keeping some females for her. She's sweet, a bit nervous at first but loves getting fed some yummy "treats" from a syringe and will willingly come up on my hand after a little bit.

Calvin, or Grasshopper like my mom likes to call him.. He's the most nervous. He wasn't handled much within the first few weeks of life like the pet store owner likes to do for their pet mice because of them moving buildings but he's slowly coming around. I'm thinking he's a PEW fuzzy. He is also my youngest and probably around 2 or so months old if the pet store owner was right about his age when I first got hime. (And don't worry, my fingers are just lightly touching his tail, not actually holding it
)

Oh my, Hippo is a cutie! I mean, I love them all but he's just too cute with all that fur! And 3 years is quite old... my oldest was 32 months.

Re: Hello!
They are all adorable. Over 3 years is awesome! That's a good idea to get them used to the syringe with treats. May make dosing medicine easier if it's ever needed. Welcome to the forum!

Re: Hello!
How cute
Hippo is quite old! I would love to have such a long-living mouse
Just ask the forum if you need any help with them!

It definitely has helped getting medicine into Hippo. Then again, Hippo will legit eat anything I give him lol! Looks forward to getting meds when I give them and extra food every morning/night.

And thank you everyone for the warm welcomes!

Re: Hello!
Welcome to the forum! I love Hippo - all the fluffy hair!!!! And the black tan - I love black tans but have yet to see one in real life! (Although I don't generally see many mice in real life really!)

Awwww! Adorable! I love Bessy's coat. So sleek and elegant. It's also a no-brainer why Hippo has lived so long. He obviously has been surrounded by love and support. I hope you enjoy the forum. This is a great environment to learn new things, and help teach others what you know.
Best wishes!
