If You Had to Choose: Girls or Boys?
So I'm getting mice in a week or two. *yay*
I wanted to see which gender you all come up with as your recommended first time mouse/mice. I'm definitely going to get both at some point, but I'd like your input.I'm curious to see what your general first time mouse/mice recommended gender. (I am aware that made no sense)
So, if you had to choose one gender to recommend to first time mouse owners what would you choose? Why?
*Sort of a social experiment/get pros and cons/input thing...

I have males, but I think I will get females next. It really depends if you want a solitary mouse, or one with friends. I really want a group next!

Re: If You Had to Choose: Girls or Boys?
I've only had one boy so I'm not sure I can make a fair comparison. Daryl was a lot of fun and the sweetest little mouse ever, but he was also a lot more work to keep entertained and needed one-on-one attention with me a lot more.
So I would say, think about if you want a mouse that requires a lot of hands on attention OR if you would prefer a group that may enjoy your attention, but they don't need it as much. They'll depend on and bond with each other a bit more (or sometimes a lot more depending on the mouse).
Males also have a stronger smell to them than females. Either way there is a smell. Whether or not you can tolerate it, no one can say for sure. Some people can't stand it, and yes there are even some who consider it a "good" smell, and everything in between. People usually do get used to it or become nose blind to it.
