Elf ears...
Those of you who know me from the old forum already know this, but my mouse, Agent Bauer, compulsively picks at his ears and tears bits off of them. At last (I think because I've been giving him some sort of new toy all the time) his OCD seems to be winding down.
I'll post a pic sometime, but now both his ears are whittled into points like elf ears and it just looks really bizarre. I have noticed he doesn't seem to hear as well as he used to but other than that he seems fine.
At any rate I just wanted to let you guys know that this nightmare is finally coming to an end.

Re: Elf ears...
I'm glad to hear his OCD has seemed to have worn itself out but sad to hear about his poor little ears. Abeona had a mouse like that, he mutilated his ears so bad that now he doesn't even look like he has ears anymore. He's fine now. Mice are mysterious things ❤

Re: Elf ears...
I work in a pet store right now so at least I get a discount on all the mouse toys I've been getting him to try and distract him.
It's so weird how they can suddenly start fixating on stuff like that without any noticeable triggers!

Poor meecer.
But I'm glad the OCD is under control. He's a lucky mouse to have you to work so hard to get him healthy again.

My Yoshi was scratching his ear off and starting on his neck/shoulder/front leg area... But very suddenly it seemed that Yoshi was just like, "Ok, that darn ear is gone, time to find something else to do," and he let everything heal. Maybe your boy thought he'd be more memorable with elf ears. lol
Glad Agent Bauer is feeling better!!!

Re: Elf ears...
Well he's clearly more a fan of spy movies and action thrillers than fantasy, so I'm surprised he went with elf ears lol
At any rate, he's certainly unique looking now. The crazy thing is he tore both ears up symmetrically... I wonder what it is about that ear shape that made him decide he was done messing with them.

Re: Elf ears...
He's a very flight, shy fellow to begin with... I'll almost certainly get pics at some point, but considering he gets very nervous when he sees the lights on my phone I'm waiting till he's 100% in the clear.
For whatever reason though, he loves my computer screen and will run up to it to chase whatever I'm watching around.
