Broken
Spongey's will to resist has now been broken. He accepts his mousie massage now and likes it. No more squirming or pretending he's too much of a lone wolf to need affection. Now he gets his massage and enjoys it.
None of my girls ever liked to be held. I think i spent a week with one on me for like 45 minutes a day and she never got comfy so we gave up. I could pet them in the cage if i wanted but not being held without obvious annoyance in their eyes.
All the boys though, have eventually wanted to be held and petted. Even the most bitey ones.
I feel like the boy mice need someone to pet them, so i am happy Spongey is cuddly now.

Re: Broken
Go, Spongey! Glad he's come around. I started giving cheek rubs to my boys when they were babies. Frog is the only one left, and he enjoys picking up everyone's sit-still-and-get-pet slack.
