New Here and to mice!
So hello there I am goldfishfanforever and I am new to this forum and currently don't own any mice but I am hoping to get a group of about 5-8 girls soon
. I am on quite a few forums including hermitcrabassociation under the name orangeinecrab and also a hamster forum, guinea pig forum and goldfish forum. I own 4 hermit crabs, 3 guinea pigs, 3 hamsters, 3 tanks of fish and also a pond however I'm looking to lower the amount of hamsters to 1 so I will not be adopting anymore until all of them pass. My parents own 2 dogs as well and I have taken over there house with animals and animal supplies but it's not like I can help it with so many animals and the hope of becoming a vet in the future but anyhow I will stop rambling and finish my post here
.

Welcome to the forum
I think getting some mice is a great idea, they're awesome pets! Personally I wouldn't go for more than 5 if it was my first time owning them, even 5 can be quite a handful, depending on the mice
It's awesome you want to become a vet

Hi thanks and yeah I was thinking more than 5 may be a bit too many but the pet store usually gets them in about 5-6 at a time and I would love to keep them all together. I already have 2 bin cages as I used to use them for my hamsters before upgrading so I was hoping to connect them together for a group but idk. I have wanted to be a vet since I was little and I am 15 at the minute and my interest hasn't budged so I'm hoping I will eventually become one and I also love helping out at one of my local vets and my grades at school are the top in everything as I don't play video games much, revise a lot and put tons of effort into my school work so that should be a good thing to.MouseLover wrote:Welcome to the forum

Re: New Here and to mice!

Mice may chew out of a bin cage, so just be sure to watch them the first hour to see if they chew.
Hope to see you around the forum!

Welcome! Glad you're here.
Mice will likely be fine in bin cages. Make sure you don't have holes/windows in the walls... mesh on the lid should be fine for ventilation. We've actually discussed bin cages recently! Here's the thread: http://petmousefanciers.forumotion.com/t128-has-anyone-successfully-used-a-modified-storage-bin-for-their-mouse-house

Re: New Here and to mice!
Thanks I will go read that thread in a minute. My two cages have wire mesh near to the top but will cutting a hole for tubes be a place that could cause chewing although the tubes have stoppers on the end that would block the are cut out hard to get to.abeona wrote:Welcome! Glad you're here.
