Buying mice
I want to buy three mice but their are no breeders or mice up for adoption anywhere near me. It appears my last option is a pet store. What do I do?

Hi, there is absolutely nothing wrong with buying mice from a pet store, so don't worry about that. The mice in pet stores can't help that is where they ended up and they deserve loving homes as all pets do no matter where they come from.

When you get your girls, be sure to share photos with us! We all love to see pictures of mice!!

I got my male mouse, Mickey, from PETsMART about a year and a half ago and he is sooooooo sweet and has been totally healthy. He is now slowing down a bit as he is getting old, but he is a wonderful little guy.

Re: Buying mice
Most of my mice have been pet shop purchases because there aren't many other options around here. Plus all but one of those mice bought at a pet shop were being sold as live feeders, so...I don't feel bad about buying them. Only three of my mice were adoptions. They don't come up for adoption around me too often and many times when they do, the person who placed the ad never responds. But if I do find them up for adoption when I'm looking for more mice, I prefer that over buying from the pet shop.
I only recently discovered there is a breeder 2.5 hours away that may be a good source. I'd have to look into them more to be sure but don't want to start messaging them when I'm not really looking for more mice at this time.
