Hi, I'm new!
Hello everyone!
I've unfortunately been without small furries for a few months now, and only just realized that TFM has gone... hence why I'm coming here!
I'm a bit of a multimammate fanatic, and several have recently popped up in my local rescue. I've adopted the first few, and will in all likelihood have the rest pendering neutering.
I've never kept fancy mice, although I definitely think they're lovely little critters and I'm looking forward to seeing lots of pictures of them while I get ideas on new enrichment objects and things.
Thanks for reading, I'll see you around!

Thank you for the warm welcome!
Yeah, they're mostly known as feeders to be honest, but they end up in rescues quite often and are often assumed to be fancy mice.
My current lot are still a little shy and extremely unphotogenic, so here were some of my previous ones.
They had been sleeping on my lap until just before I took the photo, and I decided to pick them all up and put on my arm to put them back in the cage... hence the looks of confusion!

Re: Hi, I'm new!
Welcome to the group! I have just one lady African soft furred rat that keeps one of my male fancy mice company. I had to go to a reptile convention to buy her from a feeder breeder. It's a shame that they are only seen as food... she's a lovely little lady and my male mouse loves her.
She pretty wild, I can't hold her, but she lets me pet her a bit. She's beautiful though!

Re: Hi, I'm new!
Thank you! I also think they're gorgeous, but I'm pretty biased.
Aww, bless her! I'd love to keep my multis with some mice, but sadly my cage doesn't allow for that to happen.
Although seeing all of these beautiful mice on here is making them more and more tempting!
I've heard the US ones are a bit more wild than the ones here in the UK. It's amazing how different the different lines can be when you consider they've not been bred in captivity for all that long.
