Female Mouse Suggestions
For those of you with experience owning female mice, what tricks or facts about owning them would you want to tell to someone who was a first time owner of females? Aside from general care and bonding and such, were there any complications that you've experienced that you didn't expect while caring for your females? Is there anything you wish you would've known before owning female mice for the first time, and are there tips any of you have to make caring for them easier and more enjoyable for the mice?
Thanks

Re: Female Mouse Suggestions
Hmm, good questions.
I'm not really sure, in answer to your first question. Maybe...don't expect most female mice to bond with you as much as a male might? Most people suggest getting three female mice, so that when one dies, they still have a friend.
And in answer to your second question: No, I don't think there were any complications in my experience with female mice.
I don't think there's anything I wished I would've known beforehand in regards to owning the girls; caring for mice doesn't have to be complicated. But definitely pay attention to what you read about owning and caring for mice; it might be life-saving!
And any tips... Well, maybe, when you give one of your girls a treat, try to give each of them one, or they might end up playing tug-of-war with the treat--in my experience, lol! And when you get them out, you could get them all out at once, or one at a time. Preferably all at once when they're a bit older; 'cause if one of them runs away, they're easier to catch when they're not quite so young.
