Is Alfalfa Hay Safe for Mice?
Is Alfalfa Hay Safe for Mice?
Not completely sure where I heard this, but I believe I read that alfalfa hay is completely unsafe for mice. A lot of treats have alfalfa hay in them, so it seems a little odd to me that it would be 100% unsafe. So, is it okay to give alfalfa hay as a treat, or is it best to avoid it all together?

Re: Is Alfalfa Hay Safe for Mice?
I believe the reason alfalfa is a concern for some other pets is because of the higher protein and calcium content. But mice don't eat tons of hay anyway, so in moderation (like most things) is perfectly safe.
