Whiskers Empty Whiskers

So mice have whiskers, and that got me thinking, do they ever lose their whiskers? If so, how often on average, and what does it look like?

I don't know about shedding them but sometimes a cage sister can get a little carried away and snip them off with overgrooming.

^ Hairless mice often have very short or no whiskers, if you're curious to see a mouse with none! Barbered mice, as Calla said, often have snipped whiskers.

Mice do moult coats, so its likely they lose a whisker or two to grow back during their life, but not all at once.
