Agh... I've never done quarantine... Paper Bag
I knew/know it's recommended, I just never felt like waiting to put the new mouse in the tank with the others, or cleaning the extra cage the new mouse should've been in. So, in all honesty, I ignored that good advice because I was impatient and a bit lazy. =P

Always quarantine, no matter what. Anything can happen in a week. As someone who works in a vet hospital, I can guarantee that with these animals whose health and bodies are so delicate and degrade so fast, you never wanna take gambles just to cut corners or make things a little easier. Youll regret it someday.

Now there no reason to be mean and rude. Someone can think that you wishing ill on these cute little guys. Because if you are acting that way. I hope I never see you at my vet office. Plus my girls just came back from their check up and unlike you, my vet didn’t tell me the I will regret it someday little girl.

Ummmm excuse me??? I wasn't being mean and rude, I was being blunt and honest. Skipping quarantine can have awful consequences, which could cause anyone to regret skipping it should something bad happen. I was warning you of a legitimate concern. And in response, you call me names, accuse me of wishing ill on my pets, and tell me you hope you never see me? Someone is in the wrong here, and I don't think it's me. You've been here for all of two days, and already you seem to not understand that in this community, we are respectful and kind to each other. Maybe you ought to learn that before a moderator needs to get involved.

whatever cinnamonpearl. You started off by not being respectful. But of course everyone is being disrespectful to you.

I can see both sides to this, but sometimes words read harsher than they were meant to when they're flatly laid out on the screen. Especially when you don't know each other. An easy way to bypass the drama of a perceived negative tone is to assume positive meanings unless the poster proves otherwise. It's so much easier to take the best and simply move on, rather than to start an arguement about intentions. Smile

I agree with Peachy! Let's appreciate the positives here; a mouse has been fortunate enough to get a new friend, vet care, and a caring owner. This is great news! Congratulations, and good luck with your new mice.
