Goodbye, Granite

Post by AnonymousMouseOwner on Tue 13 Feb 2018, 8:49 pm

I'm not sure why I'm having such bad luck with hamsters, but Granite has passed away peacefully in his sleep just like Blue, Dakota, and Flint did. Sad

I hope he is having fun over the rainbow bridge and is playing with all of my other past hamsters Heart

He was shy, sweet, and beautiful. He will be missed.

Rest in peace, sweet Granite

Awww, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Granite was absolutely adorable. Do you think it could be a problem with some of the hamster breeding in your area? Again, I'm sorry. Hugs.

Thank you, Rodents Rock ♥️

I'm really not sure what it could be. I've tried several different locations in several different cities. Granite was from my own town, from an accidental litter in the care of a pet shop. Flint was from the back room at Petco in a city about 40 minutes away. Blue was purchased from a pet shop in the same city as Flint. Then Dakota was from a city over an hour away, from an accidental litter at someone's house.

So you can see I've tried a variety of places, I'm not sure how every hamster I get happens to have terrible genetics Sad

I'm sorry for your loss. Sometimes we just get bad luck. It must be hard, I hope you're okay.

Oh, that's really terrible. :'( I'm sorry about your poor hammies, Anon. It can be hard to keep animals that live as short as these, the bad genetics mean you barely get any time. At least you got to give Granite a good, loving, welcoming home in his life.
