Are there signs to look for that my girls are uneasy?

Post by GabbiLuvsMice on Sat Jun 11, 2016 8:36 pm

I noticed my girls were running around with their tails off the ground recently, after Whitney started being a bit of a meanie. Is this a sign they are scared? Its not drastically off the ground but they aren't relaxing them.

That is interesting. I've never had a mouse run with their tails not touching the ground, I am unsure what it means. Can you give more detail? Are they more frightful than usual.

Has anything changed in their environment? How long have these girls been living together?

I don't know, they just run with them curved up a bit and they seem on edge most of the time. They have been together their whole life I believe. Whitney seems to be the alpha and particularly likes to chase skye, not excessively but she is a bit of a meanie. I guess I would describe it like if a wheel was too small a mouse would have to curve the tail to run? If that makes sense I don't know.

Sounds like wheel tail. Egg used to have that condition because the pet store she lived at gave her a wheel far too small, but she's since relaxed. It's a habitual thing. What sizes are all the wheels you give your girls?
