Hello!

Post by ButtonAndStorm on Sun 12 Aug 2018, 8:31 pm

Hi, I thought maybe I should introduce myself as I am a new member of this forum and it would be polite to do so.
My name is Charlotte, I'm 16 years old and ever since I was very little I have had this evergrowing passion for my animals. I have previously owned 2 guinea pigs and a rabbit which unfortunately all passed. One due to a horrible tumour.
But as of today, I'm now an owner of 2 mice. The names I decided on were 'Button' and 'Storm', after many hours of thought. Razz

I'm so excited to get to know all of you, and very excited to get to know my mice. They are both males who I believe will need to be separated regardless of the pet store telling me countless times males can live together. They were all cuddled up in a hidey house and it saddens me because they did look quite cute together, however I will keep you updated on this situation.

Please leave any tips for a first time owner as I do have a basic knowledge but I always have room for more! Thanks! Rainbow Angel

Welcome Sign

Unfortunately as male mice mature they become very territorial and serious fighting almost always happens. And it can happen very suddenly. Please take a look at this thread if you haven’t already: https://www.petmousefanciers.com/t142-males-living-together-warning-graphic-photos.

I love the names you chose and hope you’ll be able to share pics of your new mousey buddies. Love
