Got a lovely new pair of Blurs
I saw someone rehoming a pair of mice on craigslist, no fee, and couldn't help myself. They were a lovely person, they just didn't have time for the mice.
Here's the before images when I brought them and their setup home, I changed nothing for these photos other than removing the wire wheel and replacing it with my own blue spinner wheel while I got tank setup supplies ready because the squeaking was driving me nuttier than a pecan farm.

And here's my redo:

I thought I already had an available 20g but it turns out it's a 10g so they'll have to deal with the 10g temporarily until I get out to get them a 20g - 40g.
Right now they're in quarantine, I'll decide in thirty days whether to leave them in their own tank, or introduce them to my larger colony. They'll likely remain in their own enclosure, and will probably have new friends introduced eventually as well. But for the moment I'm just focusing on them as they are.
Their names are Jet (Self black) and Sky (Self agouti), and I've taken to calling their enclosure 'The Skyline' for now. I can't wait to start giving them more unique decorations. For now they get mostly cardboard as their diet before was...lacking, and they smell very, well, you know, mousy. It's easier to replace the cardboard daily than to scrub branches and intricate decor.

Congrats on the new mice. I bet they’re loving having so much more to do.

Re: Got a lovely new pair of Blurs
Thank you!
They seem quite content, when they get a bigger enclosure they can also have a wheel back, but for now they have plenty to do without knocking a saucer against the glass tank all night
Not like I have any shortage of saucer wheels since my first four girls hate any kind of wheel...

@Mahjling Aww, how cute!! I'm sure they'll have plenty to do without a wheel for a few days.
And I know how you feel about your mice not liking saucer wheels... The girls won't touch the small saucer, and the medium one is a bit more popular but still is mostly just used as a Bedding Holder

The original girls just bury it and use it to support more tunnels, so they've had it confiscated =,D
Given the choice, they'd rather dig than run, so I just give them more objects to support that...Hobby
