Sparking is what it’s called when your mouse does this happy/twitchy/bouncy thing out of sheer joy. Popcorning is a term for a similar behavior with Guinea pigs. With rabbits I believe it’s called binkying?

Is that fleece on the bottom of the cage? It looks like fleece or short-pile carpet. I’m very curious - how does that work as bedding? Do the mice chew on it? Do you launder it to clean it or just replace?

That’s not my video. Sorry I should have said that. I think they talk about the mats in one of their videos. This person houses mice a little differently than the general guidelines but their mice seem to do really well.

pipin will sometimes! shes a very energetic thing and has lots of toys, so i can imagine shes having fun!
