Scabs?

Hi Everyone,
My lovely mouse Jax has scabs all over his back. I've checked his skin for any signs of mites, as that's what the scabs are looking like signs of, but his skin is completely clear. He has two brothers in separate cages that don't show any signs of scabbing or mites either. I was just wondering what you all thought it could possibly be. He doesn't seem to be excessively scratching, or if he has been I haven't noticed. Any thoughts on what could be causing it and what I can do? Please let me know. Thank you!
