Almost done with taming Freya!
I made a makeshift mouse pen today and sat in it with the girls and Freya showed some really great improvements in terms of training! I let them climb all over me during pen time and so Freya would jump into my lap and then climb onto my arm and up onto my back! By the end, I was able to put my hand down for Freya when she was on my lap and she would climb on! Maybe 3/5 times I put my hand down on the ground she would climb on! Might I add that this is done with the use of barely and treats! Still need to work with Skye and Whitney, Skye is the most nervous and barely crawled on me at all. Poor thing. By the way, In heard mice like papaya treats? It may be mango Im not too sure, but are those safe for mice?

Great job! Though do be careful when using food to tame mice. It's not usually recommended because the mice will start to see you as a food dispenser and could even start biting. I never tamed any of my girls with food cause I want my mice to love me for me, not the reward they think they can get out of hanging out with me.

I see your point! Skye is just so scared of me so I think I may need to motivate her somehow.

Don't worry about that. Shy mice can always come around if you have enough determination and put in the time, without treats. Show her how fun it is to play with a human, and the motivation will become getting to spend time with you! Daily bathtub sessions should fix her right up.

She is also quite timid in the bathtub as well, Whitney crawls on my head!

Glad you're making progress! Skye will come around, it takes time. I didn't use any treats to tame even my most difficult mice, and they all came around.
If you do end up using treats, it's best to give it to her indirectly... like place it on your lap and then set her down near it. Then she knows that good things happen while she's with you, but doesn't necessarily know that it came from you so she won't see you as a treat dispenser.
