IT'S OFFICIAL! HE'S MINE! AAAAAAH! The woman was totally down with scraping the $40. I'm pretty sure she wants $10, but she didn't mention much about the fee in her last email. She said that she talked it over with her son, and he said it's fine. Hurray!

We're going to make the exchange sometime this weekend. I just have to see what day is good with her. I'm trying to organize so we can make the exchange at a Petsmart about ten minutes from her town. Hopefully she's cool with it; I'm not really comfortable going to her house. All I have to do is clean out one of my 10gal tanks and gather some supplies. Hopefully I can make it in time. Running to Petco now!

Oh, and judging from the photo on craigslist, he looks like an agouti. Not 100% sure, but I'll be sure to show pictures when I pick him up!

So we set the exchange time to be Sunday at 5PM at Petsmart. I currently have a 10gal tank in the bathtub full of bleach and water. I've gotta spend the next few days rapidly making MESs. That's gonna be the worst part- twice as many MESs. I stopped at Petco and got him a couple of ceramic bowls, the cute ones with the carrot pattern, and a screen top. Unfortunately, they weren't selling locking clips. Does anyone know a good, reliable brand I can order on Amazon?

Thanks for the suggestions, Calla! Unfortunately, I don't think the clips that stick out will work with my desk well. I'm gonna return the top I bought and order a Zoomed top instead. It comes with locking clips built in, so it's a very sleek design.

Clips are good to keep things from getting in or out... The last pack I bought was missing a piece so I just put heavy books on top. I'd be interested in the lid with built in clips too!
