Lol! And I see you have a Daisy over the rainbow bridge, and I currently have a Daisy! That's so funny, I guess when it comes to names we think alike!
Re: Your pets and mice
Bandit's breed was originally bred to be mousers, but he really takes no interest in Cotton. If Cotton was out playing, Bandit might look at him, but neither of them are really interested in each other. However, Bandit loves my robo dwarf hamsters! I let Bandit into my room when I'm around to supervise, and he tries to get through the glass! As for the gerbil's case, he's "kissed" them (they touched noses) but he's never tried to claw them. One time, my gerbil Midnight escaped. He spent the whole night running through the house and Bandit never ate him. I did find that he led Midnight into a closet though, and I was able to get him. Long story short, Bandit is the worst hunter ever.

Re: Your pets and mice
All the mice are in the living room. Two of my cats have never really been interested, but when we first got Missy she used to spend most of her time smacking the walls. The only tank that the cats are able to get to now is the 29 gallon, because it's on the living room floor, but the worst the cats do is sleep on the lid. The mice don't actually seem to mind, but I move the cats anyway.
Our "foster" dog, a chocolate lab named Lilly, also ignores the mice. She's so sweet. She's been nose to nose with Yoshi (not on purpose) and all she did was sniff him.
We've had accidents, though. At my mom's, I was sitting on the floor next to some mice in a playbin, and one of the cats jumped over my shoulder and into the playbin. I threw her out but didn't realize she had picked up one of the girls. My dad saved the mouse... thankfully, no injuries. Another mouse escaped his ball and was caught by my dad's Jack Russel. One bite, and he passed very quickly.
This was a fun thread idea!

Re: Your pets and mice
My dog is impossible to control around other animals usually, but he's never cared about my mice. All the mammals live in my bedroom (the dog gets to leave it of course lol) so maybe being in such close quarters he just figures they belong?
lol I used to have a list of pet names I thought would be cool but honestly I'm at the point where I've given up on that. Right now I have pets named Turtle, Stupid, RatRat and Noodles. Noodles is a RAT; an entire room of snakes, and one of the rats ended up with that name. Agent Bauer is the luckiest animal in my house name-wise.

Re: Your pets and mice
My roommate's dog, Noah, is an american eskimo mix. He is curious of the mice and likes to stare at their tank. I haven't had them out in my hands yet to see how he feels about that. He's a wuss though, so it shouldn't be a problem. Noah was scared of a few-week-old kitten I fostered for a night.
I had rats years ago, and my dog at the time was very into chasing all the little critters outside (cats included). However, he never cared one wink about the rats, who were caged on the floor near his bed.
