My boyfriend and I are planning on building a cage for our future pet mice, the problem is we haven't found a good, non-toxic varnish/sealer that'll protect the wood from their urine within Canada. We were wondering if anyone had any ideas and would be able to help us out, we really want to make sure that everything we give them is safe, and won't have any negative effect on them.

Thank you! Smile

Brush-on (not spray) Plastikote is safe. I’m not sure if it’s available to you though but worth checking.
