torn skin on tail
Hello guys, my mous have a lot peeled skin at the base of the tail. In night she was biting and she enlarged the wound. I dont know what make. It would be good to clean up.
I smeared it with ointment (Avicil) but she bit harder. What can I do not she bite this place? I gives her 2 antibiotics and i must give 1 probiotic but i dont know what natural yoghurt, human probiotic?
Sorry about my English. I hope that someone had a similar case.

Hello! It sounds like you are taking very good steps to make her better! Would it be possible she got some sort of parasite like mites or lice? If not it’s most likely just very irritating to her so she feels the need to clean it. I would watch it for a few days and continue with the meds to prevent infection. If you don’t see any improvement I would consult with your exotics vet. I hope she gets better soon!

A visit to the veterinarian would be good if you haven’t already.
As for yogurt. Any unsweetened plain yogurt would be safe in small amounts. If you have access to non-dairy yogurt, like those made with coconut milk for example, even better.
