Is this a prolaps on my mouse??!
This happens off and on since she was young. She is about 9 months now. Baby of a wild mouse.
I have no idea what is wrong. She doesnt act sick or hurt, runs around fine, eats fine.
No sign of blood at all, poops seem normal. Mostly a seed, nut and occasional piece of kale.
Also....i THINK she is a female.
I know its hard to tell what sex or what is wrong by pictures. I am assuming she is a female.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm willing to take a guess, but I am not a veterinarian. I hope you have access to a vet who will see your part-wild mousie and get things fixed and back to normal.
If the protruding tissue is pink(ish) and hairless, and if the anal pore is within the protrusion, then it may be a prolapse. Otherwise, there could be a hernia, a subcutaneous bleed or abscess or other bodily material collection, or an abnormal growth at work.
Any of those conditions cries out for a trip to the mouse doctor to treat both the symptom and its possible cause/causes. Remember that it is the nature of your little pal to hide signs of physical problems, so if you wait until there is lethargy, hunching, loss of appetite, irregular breathing, et cetera, the mousie's condition may have by then deteriorated past the point of potential recovery.

Re: Is this a prolaps on my mouse??!
Its gone!
Cage cleaning day and i looked and the protrusion is gone. What in the world??
Now, with my male he lets it hang out unless hes being messed with.
I have never seen testicles on this one but i cant tell if thats a penis or not. Its kind of pointing backwards. Too furry to see nipples.
Its important because i want all the females in one cage. Ive made a mistake before and now have weaned babies who i think are female.
I have no idea anymore. Frustrating.

I have 6 male mice and none look like that. If you have a rescue in the area they may be willing to give you an in person opinion for free.

I am totally baffled. Much of the time i can see it, other times i cant.
As for how she acts she seems fine. jumps and does what all the others do.
I am not sure its a female or a male. I THINK a female.
I would need to find a rescue because its the offspring of wild mice. I doubt my vet would look at it.
Thank you for the reply.
