Ok, this just happened about an hour ago, and I’m still really spooked, so prepare for another rant. My dog sleeps in my room, and I was just waking up when she darted off my bed and went flying across my room. I quickly sat upright and realized she had been chasing something. The corner next to the mouse cage has some bags of bedding and different cardboard things for pet DIYs. I put my dog out of my room and went over to that corner to start moving things because I was pretty sure their was a mouse in that corner. Pheobe (my friendliest mouse) poked her head out from a paper egg carton and was just like “Hi mom! What’s up?” I picked her up and put her back into her cage, where I realized that the Habitrail Ovo den that’s attached to their bin cage hadn’t been shut properly when I cleaned it the night before. Iris and Pepper were still in the cage. I went back and found Tulip, who was quite shaken from being chased by my dog, and put her in the cage. I feel so stupid, I can’t believe I didn’t shut it all the way. It could have been much worse than it ended up, and I’m thankful they are alright and decided to not move more than a foot from their cage.

So glad everyone was alright! I once forgot to latch a cage and my little Soong climbed out and onto the cat tree. I found her sitting in the food bag just enjoying having it all to herself. Thank goodness none of my cats like cat trees!! lol

I forgot to attach one of those bubbles to my crittertrail with my first mouse Pocket, I could not figure out why she kept getting out and into the kitchen!
