Hello!

This set up would be for 3-4 females. I still have bedding and a flying saucer on the way and I'll be meshing over the cage with 1/4in hardware mesh (which-- is that ok to do?), but it's pretty much the way I want it to be before I have you guys check it.

The floorspace with the pan full of bedding is 470sq in and the cage is about 15" tall.

Ok pics!

Of course the hanging toys may be in modified postitions once I get the bedding in (which, btw, will be a mix of Boxo and yesterday's news), but that's the general layout.

Let me know if I'm missing anything!

~Robin

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I might be sewing up some hammocks. Idk where I'd put them but I'll fit em in somewhere lol

@Robin~ It looks good to me! Smile Of course the bedding is necessary but you're gonna be adding that. You can't really give mice "too much" to do, they like it to busy, so you definitely look like you're on the right track!

Make sure you're paying attention to those soft plastic tubes, to make sure they aren't ingesting the plastic, but it should be okay. Also, I can't tell if that ceramic ash-tray(?) is dirty/dusty or if that's just the coloring, but make sure it's clean of any residue they could ingest or dust they could breathe in, they have sensitive little lungs.

Good luck with your girls!!

Thank you!

I'll be sure to check for chewing, and the ash tray has only been used for rodent purposes (they actually make for very cheap food bowls; I bought mine new in OBX). I haven't cleaned it off since my last hamster (this was merely to quickly set up an idea) which is why it may have some visual residue, but it also has a pretty, mottled green and brownish color so it may be that too \/(• - •)\/

Oh, and I also played around with the set up some more last night, I just forgot to add those. Nothing huge, just a platform, a hammock, and a change of scenery Smile

Looks good to me too. Same about the bendy tube. Definitely will need to mesh the cage which is ok, just make sure there are no sharp bits that can hurt them or you!
