Is my mouse pregnant? Empty Is my mouse pregnant?

I have a female who was in the cage with a unknown male I received from a breeder (she was new to breeding since her partner was unavailable) for about an hour. She’s a bit plump and it’s only been 7 days since the time she was with the male. Is she pregnant?

First off, if the breeder knowingly kept males and females together to sell them, please don’t go to them again. It sounds very backyard-breeder-like and irresponsible.

Depending on the age of the mice, it is likely she is pregnant. You can check her vaginal area for a stopper-male mice insert this into the female once they’re “done” so another males sperm can’t fertilize her. This is detailed along with other pregnancy care info in this article:

Mice: Raven
Other: Hermes (robo hamster), Prism (betta), Max (dog--profile pic)
Rainbow Kids: Pepper, Nugget, Dove, Artemis (hamsters), Leaf, Oak, and Moo (mice)
