Chewing on Fleece?
Earlier today I made Kovu a little hammock out of fleece and jute twine. Once I put it in I was hoping he'd climb into it and try it out, but all he wants to do is chew on it.
I've seen a lot of people say fleece is safe for mice, but I haven't heard anything about them chewing it up. Is it safe to leave it in there with him, or should I take it out?

If he’s chewing the fleece I would definitely remove it, fleece can’t be broken down in the digestive system so it’s can cause blockages.
To be clear, jute is safe to chew—my mice love shredding it.

Actually, fleece and felt are safe for mice to chew, I'm pretty sure. Cotton isn't, fleece and felt are I believe?
Besides, he may just be shredding it for bedding, most things mice chew on they aren't ingesting. You can remove it if you want to be extra cautious, but I wouldn't be super worried personally.
