Hello!
Hey guys!
New to the forum and mouse ownership. I am the animal caretaker at a family owned small pet store in the US, and we recently got a mouse rescue that is missing an eye and ear, and since I didn’t think she could be sold, I brought her home. Her name is Frank.
I have a LOT of questions, but mostly regarding nutrition, so I will add them there.

Hello and welome!
If you have questions about food, the Nutrition section should have some answers for you.
At the top of each section you will find stickies addressing the main subject. The two stickies in the Nutrition section are:
Mouse Diet
Safe Foods
I give my mice a fortified pellet as well as a seed mix.
I give them Supreme Selectives Rat and Mouse food and Oxbow Garden Select Mouse and Young Rat food (not the same as Oxbow Essentials). Both are corn filler free.
I'm not a big fan of corn fillers in my pet's food. Corn fillers can cause weight gain, diabetes, and there are some studies that link corn to cancer in mice.
I've tried a few seed mixes. I'm currently using Higgins Sunburst Rat and Mouse and Brown's Tropical Carnival Natural Mouse & Rat Fortified Daily Diet Food... not to be confused with... Brown's Tropical Carnival Gourmet Mouse & Rat Food (contains raisins). Higgins brand contains corn. But I pick it out before giving it to my mice.
I would also recommend setting aside the sunflower seeds and peanuts in your mixes. Put them on the side to feed later as treats.
I hope that helped.
Good luck with your new mice!
