Need answers
I have 2 mice, one I have had who is perfectly healthy. When I got my second mouse, from petsmart, she was really small and seemed normal. After bringing her home and introducing my mice, everything was fine, but then I realized that the new mouse had really runny, light colored poop. I thought it would go away, but it has been about a month now with this mouse and nothing has changed. She acts perfectly normal and happy, but the weird thing is that she literally has not grown at all and the poop is still so runny and light, and smells WAY worse than it should for some reason. I've tried changing their food and it didn't work. PS: it did not affect/get my other mouse sick. Please help!!

Hello!
How much fresh food are you feeding? Does their main mix have probiotics? Did you transition your mice to the new food?

I feed them an apple occasionally and crackers as a treat a couple times a week. They dont like the apples for some reason. Only one of my mice is having this problem! Yes i transitioned my mice to the new food, I feed them mazuri food now which im not sure if it has probiotics.

Re: Need answers
Interesting, doesn’t sound like anything that typically causes diarrhea. I don’t believe Mazuri uses probiotics but it’s more a preventative than anything required. You may want to try some other probiotic like benebac (I use the little gel tubes—about a 1cm “log” is good each day) to see if it’s just something with his gut flora, but if it doesn’t improve I would consider seeing a vet. If you can’t get your hands on benebac using your other mouse’s feces and mixing it with baby food is also a good way to seed good bacteria in to the gut but I haven’t had success with it myself.
