I just wanted to know if I can switch them to the new formula (because it is much cheaper than the old one probably because of availability )
Thank you to everyone who replies!!! Smile

I’m pretty sure they made the switch to the new formula a while back; I haven’t even heard of the first mix to be honest. The new one is safe.

Also keep in mind you’ll want some form of food (preferably a pellet) that’s fortified for mice/rats so they can get the correct amount of micronutrients. Smile

Thanks! I'll be making the switch soon!

I always try to find pellets but they usually have too much protein and such! Are there any good pellets you recommend for me? Confused

I use Oxbow Adult Rat food. It’s a dash high (15%) but when mixed with the seed mix it should take the protein down to a good level. I also throw in some Mazuri Rat and Mouse upon my vet’s recommendation and my mice haven’t had any issues with it. I don’t think most protein sensitivities are inherent in mice, much like how not all mice have allergies. Some do, and you have to be cautious, but I see no harm in trying, especially if it’s a very well-trusted brand.
