Glass aquarium

Post by Barbiefly on Fri Jul 08, 2016 12:12 pm

I have a glass aquarium meant for a lizard, would this work to one of the mice in? It has a lid with a mesh screen in it. I'm not sure if it 10 gallon or not but it is about 12x6. And how do you add pictures?

12x6 inches is a 2 gallon tank. 16x8 inches is 5 gallons.  The smallest recommended for one buck or up to 3 does is 10 gallons (20x10).

That would work as a temporary tank to separate your boys while you're waiting on a bigger tank, but not as a permanent home for one. It will also be a nice holding tank while the regular housing is being cleaned.

Nice idea, I have one of those little fish transporters to put them in while cleaning. This tank will be perfect. Thanks for the idea

Definitely move one of your boys into the smaller tank until you can get a proper sized tank for him. Right now the most important thing is to get those boys separated.

I put one of my mice in the small tank for now so I can seperated the two males. I seperated them earlier this morning after Cinn said to and put one in my small critter carrier and this evening transferred him into the larger but too small for a permanent home tank that I have. He will be in there for a little while until I can get him a proper tank. Thanks for the info guys.

So glad to hear they're both safe!

Awesome! Yes, temporarily it is ok and much much better than keeping two boys together. Smile
