Too heavy or a possible tumour? Empty Too heavy or a possible tumour?

Post by Jocelyn Tue 30 Jun 2020, 8:16 am

Hello! I have a female mouse and she is very large. I was talking to my mother about it and she said that one of my mouse's sides looked larger than the other and I should look up what it could be or ask around! She has been gaining a lot of weight in the past few months, and nothing I do seems to slim her down to a healthier weight. If anyone knows what I should do, please let me know!
Thank you and have a lovely day Smile

A picture could be worth 1000 words here. Obesity is frequently genetic and unrelated to diet. Tumors are also frequently genetic but not all bumps are tumors.

I would advise a vet visit, as they’ll be able to let you know what’s going on for certain as well as what treatment options are available.

Thanks so much! Currently, I'm not home it will be in a few days! I'll definitely see if I can get an appointment with my vet, but with the current pandemic I'm not sure how that will go! Thanks again Smile

I work in a vet clinic and we’re open, just asking owners to remain in their cars. Many clinics are doing this for now. We pick your pet up from your car in our parking lot and then give you a call when we’re in the exam room. I know it’s not ideal but it keeps everyone safe! Best to you both! Good vibes
