rescued babies available in IA!
I recently rescued a group of mice from a person who could not keep them anymore. Two of the females I received were already pregnant, and have successfully given birth to many babies! I'm now in the process of trying to obtain homes for them, especially the males of the group. It is possible for me to keep them all, but I would rather them find nice homes where they can get plenty of love and attention
The first litter is currently only 4 days old, but I thought I would post early in the hope of more people seeing it before they are weaned!
Please let me know if you are in the state/surrounding areas and are interested in adopting! I currently reside in the southeast area of Iowa, but I am willing to drive in order to meet you somewhere as well.

Re: rescued babies available in IA!
One mother is fully chocolate and the other is a banded lilac! (who i believe may be sisters?) I believe the father was fawn or possibly argente, but I'm not entirely sure on that front. Here's a quick pic I took of them tonight! There are 8 total, with one runt. They're pretty large for four days old, but both mothers are fairly large mice to begin with! They are both housed together, so unfortunately I do not know whose babies are whose. My timid estimate is 3 boys and the rest girls, but I definitely need to double check on that once they're older.
Let me know if you want anymore information about them, I'm happy to share!

I love argente!
I had the sweetest little argente guy several years ago but haven’t seen one since. If his undercoat/base of his hair is more gray than yellow when you pet him backwards, he’s an argente.
Any updated pictures of babies? (I have fuzzy coated extreme blacks from Tennessee if you’re interested in more variety! lol)

I do have some updates! I was definitely wrong about the male/female ratio, turns out I have 6 boys and 2 girls! They're growing beautifully, they have very nice solid coats, except for two which have a couple white belly marks. I have someone who is interested in either one or both of the females, so my true project is finding homes for the boys! There are three black, two chocolate, and one dove(?) boy (he looked more blue at first but now he seems to be dove, haha). Some are showing signs of being longhaired like the father as well! I have one other person who may be interested in the chocolate boys, but i'll have to check back with them for sure! I wanted to see if you wanted one in particular first
I double checked and the father is argente! He's the sweetest guy and absolutely adores attention.
I would LOVE one of those tennessee babies, especially if they are female!! (I'm probably at max capacity for boys unfortunately) Do you happen to be in the Des Moines area? I believe the two other people are from that area so I'll be making a trip there
Here's a few pictures from the last few days, second being just the boys:

I do have a couple of the black males left if you're interested! The black ones of this litter are particularly friendly compared to the rest. I have found homes for the two chocolates and one black, and have decided to keep the dove. I'll be meeting another person in the Iowa City area so I could definitely come mostly to you if it works out!
Here's a couple updated pictures of the black boys from last night

I'm hoping to go on the 24th if I can line up everything right haha. If not, I can always come to you since cedar rapids isn't that much farther. You can email me at blueetnaa@gmail.com and we can talk about it more there!
