Mouse is compulsively twitching
Mouse is compulsively twitching
so ive been noticing for the past couple of weeks my mice have been twitching their whole bodies periodically from time to time. these twitches last no more than a second. sometimes jumping up a little less than an inch from the ground into the air, there bodies will contort frantically. I really dont know if this is something serious or what?

I don't know what I would do. But I would call the vet and see what they think you should do. It should not cost you any money but that depends on where you live.

Re: Mouse is compulsively twitching
Are they scratching as well? If so could be parasites. I've noticed my mice did this when I first got them and do it once in awhile when I give them something new. I found out it's called "popcorning" and indicates excitement of some sort but it shouldn't be constant.
Check their coats and watch for scratching too. Hopefully someone else may have a better response.

I think what you are witnessing is popcorning. It's a sign of joy.
