Cleaning eyes
Since my new mouse is a dominant hairless, I figure I'll probably need to clean his eyes more often. They are known to have more sensitive eyes, though this can be bred out to the best of my knowledge so it's hard to tell exactly how sensitive his eyes are. I've read people clean their hairless rat's eyes with a cosmetic sponge every so often but he doesn't let me do this, so I'm wondering what you would reccomend. Maybe a small eyedropper?

Re: Cleaning eyes
I don't have hairless mice. But I have had mice that needed their eyes cleaned due to injuries. I just use a warm damp cotton wash cloth or a cotton round or square (not a cotton ball).
I also keep 0.9% saline solution vials on hand for using with a nebulizer for when they have URIs. You can also use it for cleaning eyes and the vial can be used like a dropper.
0.9% saline is good for general wound cleaning as well. But it must be only 0.9% saline. Anything stronger would sting.
