Clicking that doesn't line up with breathing?
Cal clicks sometimes, which is always a red flag.
Here's the thing, though: it doesn't line up with his breathing. It's just random, and not constant. I've had mice who were just chattery before but this is new to me, so I wonder if it could possibly be a URI even if it doesn't match his breathing, or if it's just some sort of vocalization?
He has done some bruxing before, so it wouldn't be too weird, but I don't like how it sounds.
He does it more when I'm interacting with him and I've never heard it when he's sleeping or running on the wheel.

Hmm, I feel like if it's not happening at all when he's not being social, that would suggest it might be a communication? Of course, that's only a guess.
It's hard to say if I've heard the exact same sound, though I have heard mice vocalize before that sounds similar to clicking. I remember because I remember doing double takes before realizing it was a vocalization.

Hm. I'll have to get a video of it!
The vocal ones always stress me out. I'm constantly checking in on their breathing lol. If it gets any worse then I'll be able to get antibiotics pretty quickly, my vet is very familiar with me and my mice by now.
Thanks.
