She's been overgrooming (or was overgroomed), is she scratching a lot?

Mites are the most common cause of scratching, they often come in on bedding. Easy fix. Smile
Allergies and other skin issues aren't unheard of, though, so both are worth looking into.

A deep clean is a good idea, but be sure the new bedding is free of parasites by having it in the freezer 48 hours before you use it. You can check her over carefully and see if you see any parasites as well. It wouldn't hurt to freeze her non-disposible toys and stuff a few days too and chuck out disposable toys. And just maybe watch and see if her cage mate or herself is overgrooming. I hope she gets relief.

i found out the problem!! lana (my brown mouse) is over grooming luna (my white mouse), is there a way i can stop this without separating them?? because other than that they really appreciate eachother and are always cuddling up when sleeping.

i have luna (my white mouse) with me right now as i am preparing to detach one of the cages in order to separate them tonight until i find a more long term solution as it seems like lana (my brown mouse) has been either biting, nipping or over grooming luna from what i just watched. i will attach photos below. i checked the cage when i heard unusual squeaks coming from the cage. i took a closer look and i couldn’t tell if lana was licking or biting luna but luna was squeaking in a not so good way so i decided to take luna out and now, at 12:23 am i just finished separating them for tonight. lana is in the ten gallon tank and luna is in the two combined critter trails. i don’t have another water bottle so i set out a shallow tray with water and sprinkled food over the cage. when i picked up luna from lana she stopped squeaking but curled up in my hand seemingly scared for a bit before she started running around all over me as usual which makes me think lana was being aggressive.

it’s 9:49 am now and i’ve just woken up, it looks as if luna is happier than ever but lana on the other hand,, is practically tearing her cage apart. i noticed that the kaytee puzzle playground is broken, the hanging bridge had fallen down, food bowl tipped over. i have no idea what’s happening she’s never acted like this in the past.

From the looks of it, I would say it sounds like barbering - basically, she's a little too enthusiastic about grooming and is ripping her mates hair out. If it was aggressive biting, there'd be no mistaking it, and the gradual hair loss suggests more barbering.

Of course, this is still very naughty behavior! It's what's referred to as 'stereotypies', abnormal, intense, or repetitive behaviors. Can we see their set-up? More enrichment or companions (pairs can be a little more problematic than groups) could solve it after their time out. I'd scatter feed constantly as well.

Breaking toys on the other hand is quite normal. Laughing That's what they're for! She's probably a little more destructive as this is a stressful situation, but it's not concerning.

update: i just spot cleaned (for today will do a full clean either tomorrow or the weekend at the latest) added more bedding, and more toys to the glass tank. i also took out lana (brown mouse) who is my more energetic mouse and played with her outside the cage for about 20 minutes hoping that could provide enrichment to prevent boredom. they’ve been in the cage together for about 15 minutes now and nothing bad has happened. the only thing is luna (white mouse) went around sniffing lana’s behind for a couple minutes, lana didn’t seem to mind it. they have now been doing their own thing amongst themselves for a bit. i also scatter fed instead of the food bowl.
