Help first time caring for baby mice
I have 2 white dwarf pinkies they are three days old. Their names are Kenzo and Kai. I need help and advice for caring for them because they are cranky and I cannot give them a full feed. I get barely any food in them and I have been fighting dehydration. I need some advice and tips. Nit fort time caring for rodents but first time caring for baby mice.
The milk I use for now is evaporated milk I have goats milk in it’s way because I cannot find any other milk substitute
I keep them about 85-95 degrees
They are living in my makeshift incubater it’s a bod lined with paper towel and I use a heat pad

3 days old is super young? They were abandoned? Can you find any kitten milk replacement. They gave it in the pet store. There is an article here on looking after orphaned baby mice or try https://animals.mom.com/how-to-take-care-of-baby-mice-12135223.html#:~:text=Items%20to%20have%20on%20hand,option%20to%20mouse%20milk%20available.

Long story short the guy sold the mama off for snake food and he thought he sold all the babies before then. He missed 2 both male I suppose. Roads are icy so it’s nit safe to travel in my little car. I am trying to get goats milk because that’s all I can afford rn

Re: Help first time caring for baby mice
Goats milk is perfectly fine. Just warm it up a wee bit and put some on the end of a little paintbrush. They will need to be fed every hour or two and you need to stroke their bellies to make them poop. I really hope it will work out and they will grow for you. Kudos to you for rescuing them.

I fed kenzo and his milk band was half full then as I was feeding Kai I looked over and half his milk band was gone. Did he digest it that fast?

Re: Help first time caring for baby mice
Mice have high metabolism and digest food very fast. That is why they need to be fed so often. How are they now?
