Yes, definitely! If you have a set course you want him to go through, you can just add on pieces as he learns what to do. If not, just work on one, and then move on to the next, while continuing training sessions with familiar equipment so he doesn't forget them.
Thank you for your help

A maze sounds like fun

Re: Agility
I made a maze for my girls a year ago! They liked it a lot, but they didn't seem to get that the goal was to get to the cheerios in the center. They would walk in and immediately leave to explore elsewhere. Mabel would wander the corridors, Little Cow would just run laps around the outside, and Rosie would try to cheat and go over walls. I don't use it much anymore, but I still have it lying around.

Re: Agility
I've had five lab mice for nearly a year. Their first owner bought them as babies to teach them mazes. Even though I don't use mazes, their experience was evident the very first time I set them down in the bathtub playground. They barely knew me, and had never seen my bathtub. Yet each one gleefully hopped off of my hand and ran around with no apprehension at all. I could almost hear them saying, "Wheeee!!!" for all of the fun they appeared to be having. They never lost that joy and continue to have fun.

Thank you! Took lots of pictures to just get the few pretty good ones. Most of the others were blurry as he was on the move exploring.

That looks fun
Mickey will have a blast playing with all that. Is that a playpen as well?

I just made like an "L" shape with wood to make him feel a little more secure.

So cute! I love your mouse-sized agility equipment. Is that a tiny see-saw?

Re: Agility
I have a few tiny plastic horse jumps and a few wooden doll chairs and tables from a toy barn I had as a kid. The jumps especially are the perfect size, but I, like others, just don't have the patience.
Are you planning on clicker-training?

Re: Agility
I tried to clicker train Little Cow a long time ago, but there was just no way it was going to happen. Then again, I probably picked the wrong mouse to try and get to be calm for a second.

Re: Agility
I'm going to find some mouse agility training videos on YouTube to get some instruction. A friend of mine trains one of her dogs in agility and she uses clicker training and was telling me about that. Mickey is food motivated, so that will be helpful in training I would think.

Re: Agility
For small / sensitive critters (mice, rabbits, some cats) you can use the click of a pen in lieu of an actual clicker - you still get the noise of a click, but it's not quite so startling.
