Hello fellow mouse lovers!!  Hello! 1f42d
I'm new to the forum and pretty new to mouse-owning; I had some pet mice when I was little but this is the first time I've owned them in a while. I'm having so much fun researching them and finding out info on how to give them a better life!
Recently my sister and I adopted two does (We're planning to get two more in about a month, though). Mine is white with dark brown ears and a little bit of brown on her nose (Himalayan or maybe Siamese? I'm not sure) with red eyes, and my sister's is a banded beige (I think).
Their names are Bianca (hence my username, haha) and Nutmeg. They are adorable and explorative and have already started to get settled into their enclosure..they're still a bit nervous, though. I'll try to take some pics and post them soon!

So I thought I would post my care and you guys could comment/suggest if there is anything I should change or improve! Smile

Cage: Ferplast Duna connected via tubes to a bin cage of slightly larger size.
(Note: We -my sister & I- are planning to upgrade to the IRIS Christmas tree bin whenever it's available, however, this seems to be working well for now)
Diet: I'm feeding them a mix of Sunburst Gourmet Blend for Rats & Mice and Science Selective Complete Rat and Mouse Food, as well as treats (Rosewood Naturals herb mix, Gerber Puffs-which are meant for babies but I've heard work great for small rodents, millet, fresh veggies, etc.)
Toys: My sister and I made them several DIYs as well as buying some toys off of Amazon.
(They have a tissue box hideout, a wood hideout, a hammock, tubes -plastic and cardboard- a DIY newspaper hideout, a DIY popsicle stick castle, a DIY climbing toy made with TP rolls and popsicle sticks, a grass tunnel hideout, bendy bridges, and a digging box made of a plastic container that has a coconut hideout in it. They also have pieces of fleece on top of some things to give them a soft surface. Sry for the overload of info xD) I tried to make the cages as crowded as I could bc I heard they like it better that way. I have some more toys (a large multi-chamber hideout and a wood climbing structure, as well as rope for climbing and an extra saucer) which are not in use atm, but I'm planning to have them in the larger bin once we've upgraded.
Exercise: They have one 8.5" Comfort Wheel and 1 7.25" flying saucer, neither of which I've seen them use yet.
Water: They have 1 water bowl in each cage and a water bottle.
Bedding: I'm using Kaytee Clean & Cozy (unscented) paper bedding atm. I also shredded some tissues for them to use in their nest.
So hopefully that covered everything, please let me know what you think of my care and if there's anything I should change! Thank you  Hello! 1f604

Hi @Bianca~ Welcome to the site, you sound like a lovely mouse mom, the only note is perhaps 2 water bottles in case their dishes get dirty or spilled and they both want a drink at the same time, or the one water bottle fails to work. Cheers

I agree! I am obsessive about the water bottles, and test them every day to make sure they work. Extras are always good!
